Have you ever wondered how to get an informational interview with someone you don't know? Or how to check in with a former co-worker to remind them you're still looking for a job and get their advice? All of this is networking - and we'll walk you through all the ways to make your networking more effective and less painful.

In this workshop we'll cover:
  • What networking is and why it's so important
  • How to do it
  • Where and when to do it
  • How to grow your network effectively
  • How to use LinkedIn to make job seeking easier and more effective
  • Tricks and tips for making networking less awkward

GAIN will be joined by veteran political organizer Kate Chapek!

Kate has managed programs for national organizations such as SEIU, CWA and EMILY's List, where she helped build their Political Opportunity Program. She has also served in key leadership positions for America Votes and Hillary Clinton's historic presidential campaign and has been on the ground in over 20 states, including key battleground states from Colorado to Pennsylvania. Currently, Kate consults democratic institutional clients in member and voter engagement, both in field and communication capacities. 


This workshop will be held in person and via webinar simultaneously at 4:00 PM EST.
