LatinasRepresent is joint initiative of Political Parity (a program of the Hunt Alternatives Fund) and the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda (a coalition of the nation's 37 preeminent national Latino organizations). The special non-partisan partnership launched in February of 2014 is designed to:
- Unite stakeholders and communities
- Lift up effective strategies and models of success for public service leaders
- Embolden Latinas to pursue public service leadership roles
- Drive a national conversation about the need for a political system that fully reflects all Americans, including Latinas who are currently just 1 percent of all elected officials.
This event will connect Latinas interested in pursuing elected and appointed office to resources and leaders who can help make their aspirations a reality. Refreshments and hors d'œuvres will be provided.
This event is sponsored by Political Parity and the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda as part of our joint LatinasRepresent initiative.
Our featured speakers are State Senator Anitere Flores and Annette Taddeo-Goldstein.
