TUITION

Tuition for Emerge Boot Camp is $250. Tuition includes all materials, connections to high-level political consultants and trainers, and meals. Tuition may be paid by personal or campaign committee accounts. Because Emerge Virginia does not endorse candidates or contribute to their campaigns, Emerge Virginia cannot provide scholarships to Boot-Camp participants, as that would be considered an in-kind contribution to your campaign. We do encourage all participants to fundraise to cover, or defray, the cost.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

The Emerge Virginia Boot-Camp has been developed for Democratic women who are running for all levels of office in 2015. The curriculum is focused on the skills women need to jumpstart their campaigns this year.  Only candidates who intend to run in 2015 are eligible for this program, including women running for non-partisan positions, like local school board. Boot-Camp participants will join the ranks of Emerge Virginia alumnae and the Emerge network of more than 1,500 alumnae across the country who have completed an Emerge training program.  Training is not limited to first-time candidates.  Current elected officials running for re-election or to higher office and candidates who have run before are encouraged to apply.

Female campaign managers are welcome to join candidates, but must pay full tuition for the program.

If you are not a candidate for public office in 2015, but thinking about running in the future, we recommend applying to our six-month training program. Our next class will begin in January 2015. Applications will open October 15, 2014.
