The problem is, when you debate policies where there are ingrained progressive and conservative stereotypes, people rely on emotion and beliefs far more than facts. This webinar will discuss how to apply the science of political persuasion to restructure our arguments and make them more effective.

Cognitive science tells us that in an argument people engage in “confirmation bias.” When you say something that challenges fundamental beliefs, it’s a “negative trigger” that causes the listener to engage their emotions instead of rational thinking. But there are ways to argue for progressive budgets and taxes without using negative triggers!
