(only $10 for non-members): Happy Hour Event Overview:
Free – The only cost is what you want to bring or buy to eat/drink.
WHERE TO MEET:
As you will see on the Sculpture Garden Map, the fountain is the center of the action and is where the band plays, so as of now we will gather in a large group on the Fountain South/Mall side. We're willing to take suggestions, but this location offers seating along the fountain and benches with a wide walkway in the middle where we can easily sit or mingle. There are also shaded and grassy areas right behind us if you want to bring a blanket to sit on.
Can't find us? Call Nick at 202-420-8230 or Jim at 703-867-5070.
WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:
This is a great visibility and networking opportunity so feel free to wear the shirt, sticker, button or hat of your favorite campaign or cause. It will also make it easier for us to find each other. Otherwise, your typically stylish after-work summer outfit is fine.
If you have any literature or items you would like to give away, we will have a blanket or space for you to put them on display along with information from Democratic GAIN and Generation Obama.
WHAT TO EAT/DRINK:
Feel free to bring a picnic or buy food, beverages and their legendary sangria at the café or inside/outside vendors. Outside alcohol is officially prohibited, though you can discreetly bring your own bottles of wine and food (only wine though, NO beer or mixed drinks, please). Just bring it hidden in a bigger bag so it’s not visible as you walk in. CLICK HERE
