Hello fellow Mind Wanderer!

We hope this finds you well on this wet and chilly day.

This is just a quick reminder that our 2nd conversation event is coming up this Sunday, February 24th entitled "Are We A Country of Half-Assed Citizens?: A Discussion on Civic Engagement in America."

Together, we will be exploring the history and changing societal norms about how we as Americans claim to love our country and our democracy, but in the last decades have pulled away from the responsibilities and work required to maintain it. Since this apathy seems to be a fairly new thing, what changed? What can be done to re-engage our citizenry and what are the risks if we don’t?

Professor Andrew Guthrie Ferguson, author of "Why Jury Duty Matters: A Citizen’s Guide to Constitutional Action” will lead this interesting and important discussion about the importance of maintaining our democracy.

Sunday, February 24th
Cause, the Philanthropub (1926 9th Street NW, WDC)
Tickets: $5 Early Bird, $9 Advance, $12 At-the-Door
